Good Evenings my loves,
I have never in my life thought about doing a book review, I love reading but I just do not think me sitting here talking about books is something worth doing. I mean if it is let me know and I will keep doing a book review every month because I am just an over all book worm.
As it is Christmas I thought I would do my post on the Christmas shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. When I first saw this book it was in October and I was like I need to read it, not because I have read any of the others because I will be honest this is the first book with Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) I have actually read but my god it is hilarious. Sometimes I will find myself on the train or one the plane at work laughing over things that I have happened in this book. Only today actually I was talking to a nurse at a hospital about this book and she was saying how all of them give of a feel good factor which made me realize that I should maybe give them all ago? If any of you have read any by her ? Please let me know which one you enjoyed? and in the mean time I will give my review on this book!
Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) adores Christmas. It’s always the same – Mum and Dad hosting, carols playing, Mum pretending she made the Christmas pudding, and the next-door neighbours coming round for sherry in their terrible festive jumpers. And now it’s even easier with online bargain-shopping sites – if you spend enough you even get free delivery. Sorted! But this year looks set to be different. Unable to resist the draw of craft beer and smashed avocado, Becky’s parents are moving to ultra-trendy Shoreditch and have asked Becky if she’ll host Christmas this year. What could possibly go wrong?
With sister Jess demanding a vegan turkey, husband Luke determined t
hat he just wants aftershave again, and little Minnie insisting on a very specific picnic hamper – surely Becky can manage all this, as well as the surprise appearance of an old boyfriend and his pushy new girlfriend, whose motives are far from clear . . .
Will chaos ensue, or will Becky manage to bring comfort and joy to Christmas?
Review: A brilliant laugh out loud book, honestly this book is an absolute cracker that will get you into the Christmas spirit in no time at all. When I first got this book it was at the end of October and I had to try my hardest not to read it before the Christmas festivity began.
And that is all for this book review short but sweet because I do not want to give it away for any one so yes if you have read it or are going to leave a comment down below and tell me what you thought of it and if you have any Christmas books that give you ultimate joys and that are laced with humor than yet again put it down below because I am in the mood for Christmas books.
Lots Of Love
